Three men, a slingshot, and a bucket of gourds...equals...a whole lot of fun. Small pumpkins, a hill, with a goal at the end equals...yah, the same thing. Targets such as, a gravity wagon and a grain truck, to yelling because you beat your Dad at bowling. You'll have a lot of fun out at THE GAMES!
We start out with a water baloon slingshot, and some gourds. Pull it back and let it fly and hear the slam of the gourd against metal. Visitors of the pumpkin patch can go out to the field and sling some gourds into the bed of a grain truck or into a gravity wagon. We also have a large can thingy (as you can see below) that you can try to make it in. The slingshot will get you pumped if you turn it into a game versus your parent. The thrill you will get when you hear the gourd slamming into the metal bed of the grain truck, or the thud that it makes when it flys into the gravity wagon. You will win something big , or not really, you only win bragging rights, but hey, that's better than nothing.
We have a hill on our property called Sled Hill, obviously by the name you know what happens in the winter time. We roll the pumpkins down the hill and try to get them between poles to score points. But there is one downside (no pun intended) to the hill. It has so many bumps and little drops that you can't guarrentee where your pumpkin will go. It will be so much fun that you'll...you'll...do something that somebody did when somebody did something somewhere. Uh, yah, that's just how my brain works, but don't blame me it's the way I'm made I guess.
We have some awesome targets for you to make in or through. We'll go from biggest to smallest in this case. First off we have a large 1986 International grain truck, with big tires and a metal bed it makes an awesome sound when a gourd slams and sometimes explodes into to the metal bed. Second, we have a Yetter gravity wagon, when the gourd flys into the gravity wagon it rolls around and then drops out the shoot (making picking them up a lot easier). And last but not least, well, actually, since it is the smallest I guess it is the least, see it is another way my brain works. Okay, enough of my brain, we have the targets on the bowling, which are poles. If you roll your pumpkin between the orange poles you can earn 50 points, roll between the orange and white you earn 25 points. Just don't over do it when you're going up the the hill, cardiovascular thing and all.
From bowling to slingshot you'll have a lot of fun when you come over to the patch and see what I'm talking or typing about. Can't wait to see you there or here, in my case. Ha-ha.
