Thank you for your many years of patronage.
The time has come to close The Proverbial Pumpkin Patch.

September 2021 . . .  We have made the hard decision to no longer grow pumpkins.  This has been a small family business that we have run with the help of our seven wonderful children for the past 18 seasons.  But the time has come for our children to pursue their own lives and dreams.

Meeting so many incredible families over these many years has been the highlight of our pumpkin-growing years.  We thank so many of you for returning year after year to enjoy fall activities.  We have seen your kids grow and you have seen ours as well.  It has been a pleasure to have you visit each season!

Our intent with The Proverbial Pumpkin Patch was to bring glory to God through the blessings of our small piece of Putnam County countryside.  We wanted to spread the good news of Jesus Christ through a family friendly harvest atmosphere.  We also wanted to train our children in entrepreneurship, stewardship, customer service, and hard work.  Each of those goals has been accomplished through the years.

Several of our children are now pursuing their own entrepreneurial adventures.
-Hollie continues to work at Bread Basket Cafe and Bakery in Danville but she is also doing extremely well as a Plexus Ambassador.  Visit her at instagram.com/_earnestlyhollie
-Emilie, while also working at the Bread Basket, continues to pursue gardening and her music dreams through violin and voice.
-Maggie is studying interior design and works independently helping individuals with home redecorating projects.
-Joseph is in the beginning stages of his own cattle business.  His desire is to raise day-old calves to weaning age and sell them to individuals.  He also LOVES the work he gets to do with a local farmer!
-Daniel is pursuing videography.  Check out his youtube channel at Earnest Filmmaking.    He has filmed weddings and music videos, as well as a few of his own lifestyle videos.
-Stephen is continuing in his school studies and desires to "get a job, get a house, and get a wife."  Smile!!!
-Dad, Greg, continues his work as an insurance agent.  You can contact him for all of your insurance needs at Farm Bureau Insurance in Danville  (317-797-8233).  With his 30+ years experience in the insurance industry, he can help you with home, auto, farm, and life insurance.
-Mom, Tammie, continues to expand her quilting business as her homeschool responsibilities continue to lessen.  Check out her website at    TammieEarnestQuilting.com

So, while our time for growing pumpkins has ended, our lives continue to be full of adventure and new pursuits!  It has been a privilege to get you know you and your family over the years!  Thank you for supporting our family!!
